Clockwork made in 1785 for the last French queen Marie Antoinette by royal horologist Robert Robin. Contrary to the clock's owner, Robin survived the revolution since timekeeping was also a necessity in the bureaucracy of the new republic. The clock is now on public display at the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle in Paris.
